Zoning Board of Adjustment
The Town Administrator is also the Zoning Administrator who makes decisions about zoning questions based on the Land Use Ordinance and issues zoning permits. When there is an appeal of such a decision or requests that are not clear or do not exactly conform to the Ordinance, the Zoning Administrator will call a meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for a determination. This Board has three primary responsibilities:

It hears appeals of interpretations of the zoning Ordinance
It may grant variances to the zoning Ordinance
It may recommend approval by the Board of Commissioners of conditional use permits for certain land uses and types of development outlined in the Ordinance
